President of the UNGO «Taxpayers Association of Ukraine» Grigol Katamadze took part in the Presentation of the newly created Department of Economic Security and Cyberspace of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine

On June 16 this year, the President of the UNGO «Taxpayers Association of Ukraine» Grigol Katamadze took part in the Presentation of the newly created Department of Economic Security and Cyberspace of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.

The newly appointed director of the Department Serhiy Kropyva spoke about the strategic direction of the Department’s activities and stressed his readiness to actively cooperate with business.

In his speech, the President of the UNGO TAU Grigol Katamadze stressed that in today’s conditions the issue of strengthening the institutional capacity of law enforcement agencies is an urgent need, the solution of which is impossible without cooperation with business. The main methodological foundation of such cooperation is the risk-oriented approach, the basic element of which is risk assessment, which is an important basis for their management and building in the country systemic guarantees of sustainability of government.

Grigol Katamadze, in particular, said: «There is a need to outline a common vision of the risk base, as well as an understanding of what risks need to be considered, mitigated and leveled. We decided on the platform of the Taxpayers Association of Ukraine to gather experts from various law enforcement agencies, specialists of the Liga Zakon and start discussing these issues, and move from the process of competition between law enforcement agencies to the process of interaction and cooperation. We have already held two meetings of the working group, which involved representatives of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine, the State Tax Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, LIGA ZAKON Company.»

The meeting was attended by the Head of the Department of Criminal Law Policy and Investment Protection of the Prosecutor General’s Office Oleksiy Bonyuk.

Taking the opportunity, the President of the UNGO TAU Grigol Katamadze invited Mr. Serhiy Kropyva and Mr. Oleksiy Bonyuk to work together in a working group established on the basis of the Taxpayers Association of Ukraine.
